1950s "Housecoat"

Here's my latest project that I am so excited about!!! It's a housecoat (NOT to be confused with a bathrobe)... made from an authentic 1950s pattern. The fabric is vintage 2007... :0-) But, it looks retro doesn't it? :-)

Here's the front:
Front close-up (love the rickrack):
Side view (trying to do a Vogue pose... didn't work): Back view (I love the gathering detail):

Very nice Becca! I think it is adorable.
If I may ask, What exactly is the difference between your lovely coat and a bathrobe? When I look at the pictures, your housecoat looks more coat-y, but I can't lay my finger one what the difference is.

p.s. I think the rick-rack really adds :)

How cutely! I love it! That definitely is as cute as anything Anna from the S&S board ever made! I love the fabric and the rickrack. What fun!! And it looks great with those big fuzzy slippers.

You did a lovely job!

Yes those slippers... are they the ones Clancy-as-a-puppy fell in love with. I do LOVE your coat! You know... my birthday is coming up...(HINT HINT)

No, I'm kidding,

hint hint, I'm kidding??? What's that mean Lyd?

You look beautiful dear. And the housecoat really does look nice, aren't you glad I talked you out of that pink dotted material! This looks so much better, and I'm glad you went with the pink rick rack.

Love you!!

Who are you and what have you done with my little sis/arch nemesis? Make MORE outfits. All these pictures of you smiling are great!

Lydia Yes, those are the slippers. They're falling apart but I can't bear to get rid of them.
Tyson I don't know why you think I never smile... I smile plenty!
